Flora Siegwalt
Vice President
Flora Siegwalt studied biology, ecology, and ethology at the University of Strasbourg and at The University of Western Australia in Perth. After an initial interest in cetaceans, she developed a strong passion for sea turtles during her Master’s degree internship, which led her to the French Antilles to pursue doctoral research.
Supervised by Damien Chevallier and Jean-Patrice Robin from CNRS Strasbourg, Flora investigated the spatial and feeding ecology of immature green turtles in Martinique, in the context of the colonisation of Caribbean seagrass beds by the invasive exotic species Halophila stipulacea. She holds a PhD from the University of Strasbourg.
Flora now works in the field of environmental education and continues her commitment to sea turtle conservation as a member of the executive board and Secretary of the TOTM association.
