Provide technical support to marine turtle conservation stakeholders by creating an active platform for the promotion, dissemination, and development of technical resources.
Many French stakeholders monitor marine turtle populations (strandings, bycatch, photo-identification, nests, movements at sea, etc.). Working with these protected species requires specific authorization and training for handling, transport, and the collection of samples and data.
To pool and strengthen expertise across different areas of intervention, it is necessary to standardize tools and training materials.
This working group will initially focus on compiling and sharing a reference catalog of existing tools and training programs. Members of the “Training” group will also address identified gaps by developing new resources and training materials.
